The Liturgy - BAS
of the Week
and Christmas Letter
brothers and sisters in Christ, as we walk along this Advent journey
and prepare to celebrate the many tremendous gifts of Christmas, I
invite you to take some time to reflect on the many gifts -Christmas
and otherwise -that you have received throughout your lives. In the
hustle and bustle of the coming holiday season, give yourselves time
to pause, slow down and give thanks for the gentle times you have
experienced; for the difficulties God has seen you through; for the
joys that bring a smile to your lips and for the hope and
anticipation of wonders to come.
seasons of Advent and Christmas are opportunities for Christians to
step back from the secular world of worries and chaos and to
recognize that while we are called to live in the world, we are not
called to be of the world. We have been given, through Jesus Christ,
the privilege of living already in the Christmas and Easter gifts of
salvation, the love of God and eternal life. We have so very much to
give thanks for and this time of the year, both secular and Church,
is a wonderful time to give witness to our faith in God through
Jesus Christ and to share with the world the good news that Jesus
was indeed born and will indeed come again!
invite you to join me at Saint James as we journey together. As a
community and as a family, let's join together in worship and
fellowship to celebrate God's incredible gift of His Son, Jesus
Christ to each and everyone of us.
is a time for family, and I invite you to join in the festivities
with your very own Church family.
find a list of services over the Advent and Christmas season. Invite
your friends. Call your family. Come celebrate with us. We can't
wait to see you!
God bless and keep you all..
