"Ask
and Imagine in Huron" (Diocesan Times - September 2005)
From
the Newsletter of The Anglican Parish of St. Timothy, Hatchet Lake,
& St. Paul, Terence Bay (Summer - 2005)
I
grew up in Enfield, Nova Scotia where I attended Christ Church,
Lantz. I received my undergraduate degree (BSc, chemistry) from
Mount Allison University. After attending Mt A I began the
discernment process for ordained ministry. I have just completed my
2nd. year of studies at the Atlantic School of Theology and I will
begin my 3rd and final year in Sept./05.
My
ministry has involved an active participation in youth ministry in
our diocese. I attended the Teens Encounter Christ weekend in May
1997 and have served within that community ever since. In July 2002
I joined the Youth Ministry Sub-Committee and I currently serve as
their treasurer. I have recently begun exploring social justice
issues around Canada and the world. These new explorations have been
a result of my continuing education.
I
believe that I am being called into ordained ministry and more
specifically into parish ministry. I also believe that I have a
passion for youth ministry and I believe that this will be an
important part of my ministry no matter where I am. I look forward
to my experiences here in this parish, as I believe that it will
allow me to explore and learn more about ministry in a parish
setting."
