8: Let the Earth Bring Forth Living Creatures
Window
eight in The Earth Triptych represents the animals, both great and
small. The ram is a symbol of sacrifice, the ox a symbol of
strength, and the hare a symbol of the defenseless who put their hope in
Christ. "God made the wild animals of the earth of every
kind".
